Abby Casey is a Bozeman-based woodcarver and outdoorswoman who finds the hidden stories inside raw timber. From the thick, cork-like ridges of cottonwood bark to the solid heart of a pine log, Abby uses chainsaws and power tools to release "tree spirits" and wildlife from the wood. Her work is a bridge between the wild Montana landscape and the home, turning the rugged materials of the forest into spirited, one-of-a-kind art.
